My company is relatively young, and I'd like to start building a business credit background, so that when we need money we'll have the history to fall back on. Any advice?
Thanks.

Building business credit is not much different from building personal credit. In fact, you'll need good personal credit in order to begin building business credit.
With that said..
Start by getting a checking account - if you don't have one already. Try to get a debt card with bank account and use the credit card option when making purchases. This will start a credit history.
Then apply for a office supply credit card (e.g. Staples or OfficeMax) or an American Express card. Use them and pay them off on time.
