Full Version: Menu Navigation

Hello to all,

I am in the process of setting up my store and have been playing around with different looks. I would like to have a pop up menu driven site where the customer can click on words in the message area and it will have a pop up menu, then they can select a choice and another menu will pop up, all attached to the previous menu.

I am trying to use Ulead's Menu.Applet program and I am able to make a nice set up, but when I copy the HTML to my site it is just a gray square.

Can anyone tell me how to get the gray square to disappear and my menu appear? I am trying to use this as my navigation from categories to products, instead of the way it is now. wassat.gif

Thanks in advance.

Post your url so we can look at it. First guess is that your path may be incorrect as to where you are calling it from. Make sure you uploaded all files accordingly.

Yes that would be helpful,

My site isn't done yet and I have been changing things for different looks. My site is USA Public Safety.

The basic structure I want is, lets say:
Main Categorey--->Category (Then you get your subcategory choices in a pop up menu.
Sub category---->Products (This menu breaks it up further, also in a pop up menu)

Sub-sub category---->Individual Products (Also in a pop up menu)

This can work for any topic on my site from products to information. My product lines are very deep on options.

The whole idea is to have a three teired menu so customers never leave the home page until they have made their choices. I know I hate to be taken from page to page looking for what I want and thats what I'm trying to avoid.

Thanx

CODE

!--AppletEnd ** Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0 ** Key=usapsmenu--><!--AppletStart ** Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0 ** Key=usapsmenu-->
<applet cabbase="umpopup.cab" archive="umpopup.zip" code="umpopup.class" name="umpopup" width="604" height="410" hspace="0" vspace="0">

just curious...did you upload the applet itself to the site in any way? I did not see it anywhere so I am thinking the error is because the applet file(s) are not in place?

Is there an "umpopup.zip" file to upload? I am pretty sure that at least must be up there.

I am curious as to how a zip file would unzip itself and then load on a website???
