Hi everyone,

I'm new to the board happy.gif

I'm looking for someone who is really good at designing buttons according to the design of the site & charges like $10-20

Someone who also knows how to optimize.

I'm looking for a "Buy Now" button, but the last guy who tried wasn't very skilled IMO.

Any suggestions on someone I can hire?

There's a lot of tools out there, but I don't have time for that & it doesn't seem a lot of WDs call themselves button designers LOL

Thanks & have a great night !

I use Likno Web Button Maker. It is a great and easy little program to create buttons for your site.

Here is a link to the site: http://www.likno.com/

Good luck!

Have you considered searching the Web for a button you like?

It might be easier for the designer if they know exactly what type of button you're looking for.

Hi and welcome to the forums...

Sorry, I've got to give you a reality check here -- You're asking someone to spend at least 3-5+ hours and you want to pay $10-$20? Are you kidding?!

Its not the technical aspect of creating a button that takes long -- but the creative process. Design ideas don't just get pulled out of the air. Especially great design - takes iterations to get an excellent design.

For $10, go see if your neighbor's kid can do it. Otherwise, look to pay professional rates.

Best of luck to you! bigsmile.gif

I would agree.

When doing random work like this for customers, I charge based on $80 per hour. To make a properly sized "button" that fits in with the theme of the site would probably take me at least half an hour, if not longer. Of course, once you get the first one, the others are much faster.

As I have mentioned in the forums previously, you will save yourself a TON of money learning portions of Photoshop for design, and Dreamweaver for the web.

Can't say that I disagree with everyone's posts concerning the difficulty in finding someone to design buttons on the cheap. Our design team does full designs & logos but not button themes. However, I hope I can help.

First off, make sure you go to Site Layout > Button Theme editor and see the FULL LIST of all button themes. There are .... 100 or so in a variety of colors.

Second, if you want a free option for creating your own buttons, there is an awesome interactive program for customization at -
http://www.buttongenerator.com/
- be sure to choose to browse the FREE options only. The only thing you have to do according to their terms of service to use the free buttons you create is place a small graphical link back to their site. If you don't want it on your home page, you can bury it in the SEO catalog footer.

Third, our VIP feature comes with about 10 new button themes... all of which I believe have been updated to be ADD TO CART instead of buy.

What exactly are you looking for? I don't mind spending an hour fooling around today.....I've got time.

Call it a "Welcome to the Forums"! wink.gif

Edit: I should add someone here designed a FREE logo for me so it's kind of a "pay-it-forward" sort of thing. tongue.gif

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I never responded back, but I don't think this system is notifying me when people are posting & YES, it's set to instant notification.

For all of you that think I'm nuts, LOL, thank you.

I tend to get what I want & not have a problem & I feel you also need a reality check. Just b/c you charge something, doesn't mean the whole world does what you do. Everyone is different.

The buttons I got someone to create for me were fabulous & they were all done for free & unfortunately I had to take them off the site just last night b/c I changed my cart & so the buttons had to change a programmer did them & HUGE difference in quality LOL.

Pretty soon I will actually send my button man some money (he's hard to send to b/c he's in the UK) b/c he's helped me a ton. Very sweet guy & if you ever need really nice buttons created, he's your man, so pls. PM me for a referral.

I thank the last 2 people who were willing to give me a hand. It only took him 10-15 min. to create one & another 15 to tweak it. Not 3 hrs.

I hope I get notified of the posts from here b/c now I'm on the hunt for a really good Banner Designer & I'll be starting a new thread.

This time a paid position as clearly this takes more time & I need several.

Thanks & have a great wknd. happy.gif

Seriously though, if you are going to ask someone to do some work on the cheap it would be worth doing a bit of ground work first and seeing if you could find a tutorial similar the button you want and then pass that on so at least it cuts down on the design work.

There are tons of tutorials for buttons here ->http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorials/Photoshop/Buttons/1

Most are a bit full on but some could be a base for what you want to give ur designer a starter for 10.
