How can I change the layout and look of my site without compromising the source code?
Most of the work I do is with Namo.
I find the on line editor somewhat confining.
I'd like to change the look and feel of the site but do not find a test area or FTP Other than the image FTP) to upload with.
Thanks.

Currently, the designers at MC design their store in a graphics program such as Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Fireworks first. After the design is complete, we use a combination of coding skills to 'splice' up the image into the necessary segments available on our cart. Most commonly, the header, the left column and (now available for editing in 4.0) the right column.
In terms of 'testing' the site, we currently do not offer a solution. If you're just designing HTML, you can test the design in your browser. However, if you're designing ASP, you're always welcome to test on your own box. Windows 2000 and XP come with basic IIS capabilities for dveloping dynamic sites. Once enabled, you can setup a test website on your own computer.
Hope that helps.
