Everyone/Anyone,

Hello. I was wondering: If this is March, does that mean we are still in 1st quarter? 2nd quarter starting in April?

monstersmile.gif always says that a particular project will be dealt with in this or that quarter. Does that mean that by the end of the quarter the problem is fixed and all stores have been updated?

Does anybody know where I can get a list of the fixes that are set up for each quarter? I think having this list would help monstersmile.gif and us.

For Mon*ster it would mean they wouldn't have to explain to each customer what is coming up and when. monstersmile.gif can also defend themselves by saying, "Look, we know this is a problem and it is already scheduled to me fixed by xx-20xx".

For us it would mean that we have a way to see what is being worked on, when it should be fixed, and what new is coming on the horizon. monstersmile.gif wouldn't have to hear people gripe (as much) about things not getting done. On the other hand, if something isn't fixed by the time they said it would be....

Andrea,

Based on the Development cycle page you refer to in your post, the last scheduled update is 6/1/04 when 4.1 is implemented. Am I missing something or is ther another source where the elements scheduled for 1st quarter 2005, 2nd qtr 2005.... are listed. I think this is what Cannen might have been asking.

You are not missing anything. You can expect the first update for 2005 to be done in April. I wanted everyone to see the diagram and see the "schedule" (week 1, week 2, etc.) so that everyone is aware of how the process works. We released version 4.1 in October 2004. We moved to the Quarterly development cycle beginning 2005.

Okay, and the April 2005 update will address which of the 20-60 issues clients have ranted about over the last year?

I often see in responses to posts about specific issues and problems "this is slated for 3rd Quarter", "or this will be addressed in 2nd quarter."

Perhaps it would be helpful to give us a reference list up front as to what is scheduled for what quarter. I would certainly understand if there are Definite and potential issues/fixes on such a list. I suppose I could search the forum for when things have been promised but with so many missed promises prior to the tightening of the development cycle, where do I start?

Many clients have been waiting a long time (1 year+) for delivery of specific fixes and enhancements. I understand MC being gunshy about making clear scheduled promises after earlier unrealistic expectations on how much could be developed and delivered in a specific period of time, but as a client, if the development process is cleaned up and I have confidence that it has, then there is a list of what lies ahead. From the Admin panel All I can discern is that there were three items addressed 3/18/05 and hundreds that have "Patch version to be determined" That list has been the same and growing for ages.
