press release in January states Urchin 6 is a premium upgrade for all customers. Is this a free upgrade for customers or one which we must purchase? Version 6 has some very nice added features.

Urchin 6 is not included free with MonsterCommerce.
Urchin is currently offering an On Demand version which is a monthly service and not a one time purchase software.

This is $499/month for MonsterCommerce clients which is a discount off their rack rates. I believe they are coming out with a software version and MC will do our best to apply the upgrade. We have not investigated the new software version yet.

Urchin 6 is amazing and I really think it is worth it. It gives a very deep picture of what is going on from start to finish on your site!

What about the current version of Urchin 5, the Urchin 5.7 product? This product has more features than what is in Urchin 5 including Campaign Tracking.

Also, I beieve Urchin has a 50% discount for upgradinging to Urchin 6 on Demand?

I recently was told by a Customer Service rep that we'd have to migrate to a dedicated server to get Urchin On Demand.

The post from Steph below seems to gloss over that.

Can anyone tell me - Would we need to migrate to a dedicated server to get On Demand? And... if we were interested, could we see a demo?

Deep analytics is a priority for our company's E-commerce division and will likely affect whether or not we are able to stay with for the long run.

You are correct... right now Urchin 6 On Demand is only available to MC clients on dedicated servers becuase it does require some slight modifications to the standard setup.

It is planned to be available to all clients, however, sometime in the future.
