I'm trying to set up our real time credit card payment stuff. We have the merchant account and it is suppose to be authorize.net enabled.

Quick question...Is my merchant login and password the one I use when I set up Authorize.net gateway stuff on ?

The Authorize.net merchant login and password is the same information you need to provide to when completing the Authorize.net gateway information.

The best thing to do here is to call your merchant account provider and ask for your Authorize.net user name and password. Once they provide this, call MC tech support and they will help you set it up. They are always around all day Sunday so you should be set there.

Thanks, all! Turns out that my merchant account provider screwed up. They gave me an account number for a gateway other than Authorize.net. Hopefully the problem will be solved today!
