I'm having a new logo designed. Here are the best ones so far. What do you think? Which one catches the eye?

The little image over the "i" is supposed to be a taillight. Like it with...or without? Any suggestions at all?
Thanks muchly.

Edit: Made image larger.

I like No. 4 or No. 6

I like the color scheme of #3, although the phrase is a little bit difficult to read since it's light. I think the tailights image is a nice touch.

I like 3. My eyes are getting old, so light colors really bother me now.
I like the taillight.

I really like the top part of #4, but can't read the bottom.

I second this. Maybe you could have the darker color from #3 in the bottom of #4.
I like the taillight too.

A lighter shade of gray in the lower part might also help.

At this image size, I'd vote for #3. If it was larger, I might pick #2.

Thanks for all the feedback. Doesn't the taillight resemble a soccer ball to anyone? Or is it just me?
I still can't decide which one..lol

Cooooooool Logos. I agree with making the shaded gray just a little lighter so the bottom line is easier to read.
One other observation--for what it's worth--I would make the taillight dotting the "i" just a bit smaller if possible. Also I think the "L" in that font is very hard to read (at least for my very old eyes).
Over all very nice. Did you do them yourself?
edit: Oh, forgot to vote: #2

Well, now that you mention it... it kind of gave me a nautical impression at first. Sorry.

To tell the truth, I do not like any of them. I think they could be a bit more creative and professional looking to fall in line with your product line a lot more. I just wanted to be honest so don't bash me...

It's too oval for a soccer ball.
But now that you've made them larger, I like No 2.
One more note: The darder color in No 3 may be a bit too dark when it comes to coordinating other colors to use with text on your site. (Does that make sense? I'm not sure how to explain it. )
Let me try again. If you want to use a matching background color on your navs, for example, it may be tougher to coordinate with the darker colors.

I like 2 better than 3 now that it's bigger, but it's really a matter of color taste because they're all the same. Didn't they create different logos at first? Or is this design the one you picked and you're just trying to settle on a color now?

What if the taillight were slanted the same way as the text instead of "backwards"? But what do I know....

Yes they did (some of them were

...lol ). I finally settled on this design because of the cool "chrome" look and the "icy" color of the blue. I wasn't crazy about the taillight (still not) or the font.

No worries.
Thanks for all the great suggestions (darker colors, different slant, lighter shade of gray, smaller taillight etc)....they really helped. And thanks to all that voted.
Well back to the drawing board (they're giving me unlimited revisions - for free).
Edit: I'll post the results.

Number 2 jumped straight out at me as the easiest to read the word taillights for some reason. Love them all but that one just seems to be the one I go back to to read.
Have to be honest I did have to think 'what is that' for the tail light logo. I don't think it's needed to be honest. I think it looks good as it is. Does what it says and then people can go shopping. I wouldn't make it too fancy...

#3 was the easiest to read quickly for me. I didnt even know what the symbol dotting the I was...lol. Seems out of place with the rest of the logo to me. I like the overall design, but think it needs to be recolored to be more legible. Darker text on the chrome...or text with a darder border...or something.
Choosing a logo is really tough isnt it! Good luck!

#3 was easiest to read (sub title text too light on the others)
I like the tail light.
I like the colors for the main title in #5 & #6
I like the subtitle from #3

I'll let you know once I'm a happy customer.
I CAN tell you they are only charging me $100 and they're throwing in a free business card. I found out about them through webproworld.com....they won a graphics contest.

Tired old eyes here thought 3 was easiest to read, but I do like 2 V. Much and agree with Patti's comment about matching up the colors of #2 more easily thru the site.
Like the tail light, but like TNT mentioned the slant of the tail light seems to oppose the direction of the text...can you play with that?

I agree with the poster who didn't like any of them. I'm a graphic designer, and I think the readability problems that people are suggesting color fixes for are actually caused by the ALL CAPS use of the word Coolights. It actually took me about 5 seconds to figure out what the word was to begin with. I also think the headlight doesn't really look like a headlight ...
The chrome and icy looks that the original poster likes can be replicated in a much easier-to-read design -- one using both capital letters and uncapitalized letters. If you want to stay with all caps, I'd suggest using a sans serif font -- a font without "feet" or the little hooks and tails that appear on fonts like Garamond and Times New Roman.
Just my 2 cents -- everyone has different tastes. I'm in the beginning stages of redesigning the Web site of the company I work for, and will likely be asking for opinions on that once I get some mockups tagged ...

Crashingflwrgrl, I'm sure the final result will be great! My logo was redone 10 times and in 25 different color schemes before I was finally happy with the results. So are my repeat customers since a few have mentioned how pretty it looks.

Thanks to all who offered feedback....it was excellent. I have temporarily added one of the logos (I changed the taillight) to my site.
It'll do for the short term (the VERY short term....lol)
Thanks again!

eh.....I'm not the "happiest" camper....but like I said.....it'll do for the short term. I actually have a VERY talented designer doing a really cool logo for me as we speak. I'll put it up shortly and I'm sure you'll agree....it's way better.

Ok - quick feedback:
* The text "Lighting the way for the rest to follow" needs to be dropped about 2 pixels lower within the frame/border around it. Its sitting too high.
* The tail-light, although better, is still not right somehow... I don't really have a good suggestion. Would like to see an old fashioned single round headlight example - but that's not the look you're going for. Perhaps take the cruft on the top left off to leave it with a smooth border?
Otherwise, its coming together.

I agree the tail light still seems odd somehow, but as far as the rest:
Great logo. Like the new font much better. Also the border around the tag lilne is better than the shading on previous logo. Good job, crashing!

I love the new logo design.
I've also been thinking about the tail light on the logo issue for the past couple of days.
Suppose you added a complete rear bumber to the pic?
Then maybe you could have the tail lights highlighted (or extra large) somehow too???
Just a couple of thoughts...
