Full Version: Fed Up W/ No Help On Registry!

does anybody at monstercommerce have any knowledge about how a registry works properly??? I understand that it is in Beta, but I have not had anyone solve any of the problems we are having w/ the registry-i know how it could run smoothly-is there anyone there that is ready to tackle this one??? There are other web hosting companies out there that seem to have this registry thing mastered.Please have someone w/ knowledge in the registry area contact me.Everytime someone registers w/ us they are telling anywhere from 25-200 people to shop my store to buy gifts for an event-it hurts my pocketbook to see all these folks visit my store and they back out of buying because the registry is a bit confusing and even more confusing to the person who is registering...they aren't even given the option to give a list of their friends and families and those that would be buying off of their registry so that they can mass email them an "invite" to view their registry with a direct link to their registry on our site UNLESS they just happen to go back in and decide to edit-THEN they will see that option OTHERWISE they don't even know that that option is available...
also, there seems to be a problem if a person registers and then goes in later and edits their contact info. and adds products to their registry it will show up on our end of the admin panel but not on the front end-example: view customer DENTONE on our back end admin and view her registry and then go view it as you were shopping for her on the fronyt end-half of her registry does not show up!!!! also, notice when you are trying to view a registry-you type in the persons last name and then an empty box that prompts you to AGAIN search for that person appears along w/ two buttons that say "Create a Registry" and another that says "View your Registry" pops up and in very small text is the persons name-there is NO instruction for the person searching to click on the persons name-very confusing for alot of folks especially those who are not internet saavy.

Hi,

I have a problem to which I couldn't find any posts...
I managed to find the page where you view the content of your wishlist, and I present a link to it in the home page.
I also entered the wish list itself and set it up, and I chose to display the default "add to wishlist' button (actually 'HTML link') - but I can't see this link anywhere and I don't know how to add it to the products.

However, when I click this link I get "Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken."
Is that a permissions issue? I'm supposed to have an access to the VIP forums blinking.gif

What is the status on the Wish List/Registry module? Is it available to use or for testing?

Also, how do I get access to the VIP Forums?

Hi Altout,

Currently the VIP program is no more at MonsterCommerce, this was ended around last October. At this time you will not be able to use the Wish List or Registry as it is not compatible with the 4.2 and further release. We are looking to add features like these back in the future, but at this time I have not heard of any ETA for their release.

Due to this we have partnered with a company that integrates for wishlist to let clients use this type of feature for the mean time. The company/product name is called ewish. Their website is http://www.ewish.com/

Note we still have the Advanced Product Display (APD) which you can have added to your site, you would just need to contact support so we can add it.

Wow, e-wish looks great and looks like it would be easy to install with the APD option....so, do we, as monstersmile.gif customers, get a discount to set it up? The initial set up price of $599 is kind of steep..it would be nice to get this discounted. And they charge a 5% commission which I don't mind it I can get past the set up fee.
