Full Version: Opening Additional Stores
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?
cbhale
Hello,

I have a quick question. I am looking at opening 1 or 2 new ecommerce sites through monstersmile.gif, and what I need to know is:

1. If I do this will I be set up on the newest version?

2. If not will there be a aprox. time that if I did this it would be the new version?

I hope that makes since.

Thanks,
cbhale

Hi! If you were to signup new stores right now, we might be able to get two IPs onto the RC 1 server so that you could build directly in v4.0. Your site would still need to be transferred, at some point in time, off of the testing server and onto a permanent one but that wouldn't be a big deal and MC would do all the work smile.gif

If you would rather wait until v4.0 is officially launched, we are shooting for the end of September so it would be about two weeks.

Thanks!

I am currently awaiting the 4.0 release before starting up a second store... I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not the only one. cool.gif

Thats not too bad I think that I can wait, I have a few more questions to ask then.

1. Since this will be my second or possibly third store, how do you go about signing up? Do you have to call the sales number or tech support.

2. I have my domain name already. I have a forum running on one side. http://forums.desertscrappers.com is it possible to have the store set up as http://store.desertscrappers.com?

3. In the above question as far as SEO is it better to have to store front or anything higher priority using the original domain http://www.desertscrappers.com?

4. Another thought just popped into my head. If http://www.desertscrappers.com is run on another host, will I even be able to point to http://store.desertscrappers.com?

5. And the answer to the above question is no, is it possible to move all my stuff from the current host which includes a vbulletin forum running php over to one of your servers?

Man better stop while I am ahead.

Any information would be appreciated... I thought I saw someone else in the forum doing something simular to what I am asking to do..
