Full Version: Browsing By Subcategory
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?

Right now I have the left column set to browse by subcategory. I wanted to see if it was possible to change the subcategory button. For example, my main category is by country, so I want that button to read "Browse by Country." For the subcategories, I would like the button to read "Browse by Categry." Right now, the subcategory button is the same as the category button. Thanks!!

Hello -

Currently both the 'Browse by Category' and 'Browse by Sub-Category' features will use the same image for their headers...

Themes/button_themes/SpeedBump_Red/header-browse-cat_l.gif

The only way to use a different image for them would be to create either the category or sub-category list yourself through Site HTML > Left Column HTML Editor. Essentially you would have to create the category links yoursefl. You could then specify whatever image you like for the header. If you decide to go with this method, it would probably be easier to create the category list through HTML as its considerably shorter than the sub-category list.

Hope this helps!

Another way to do what you are describing is to use an Advanced feature called Function Calls to display the "Browse by Subcategory" menu, and you can put whatever image you want to display at the top.
