Full Version: Canadian Orders
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?
in2nascar
We have an order from Canada and I am trying to set up accepting orders from the US and Canada and hand key the Canada order. I guess since I don't understand the difference provinces and such I am setting it up wrong and entering the info wrong. I think maybe monstersmile.gif has to help me. Here is the partial info that has me confused:

Name
Address
North Bay, Ontario
Canada
and a Canadian zipcode-P1A???

I have tried several different ways to enter the info in the billing area with no luck!
I think a few monstersmile.gif stores are located in Canada. I am also trying to enter into the USPS quick ship site with no luck either worry.gif

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance,
ArcoJedi
It would appear to me that you have international shipping allowed at the bottom of your Billing information page for the first step of checkout, so that is not what is causing the problem. Where and what step are you running into a problem?

After I enter the info and it goes to the shipping page. I think it says that the address is invalid or I don't have USPS set up correctly. Here is the error I am getting:

Please Select Your Shipping Method:

Shipping is not available to that address, please check your address and try again.

Hey in2nascar.
When you set up "Canada" in your shipping manager, did you designate "all?"

Unless you want to exclude certain provinces, you should have "all" specified...that should clear up the issue. The shipping manager is not (and I speak from personal experience) very intuitive...lots of "click, click, click" involved.

Hope that helps a tiny bit.

Well after hours of working on this I am close to figuring it out. I FORGOT to choose Global Shipping...duhhhh! Now I need to know if I choose Global Express EMS or Global No Document! Is EMS for envelopes or packages?

Still a little confused!

Thanks,
MartiniGuy

Dont feel bad...as I said: the shipping manager is not really friendly, intuitive, or easy. The trick is to "test, test, test"

Depends what you're shipping--best way to figure out what you want is on the usps.com site.

Those crazy canucks have postal codes instead of zips like us good ole Americans. Supposed to contain 6 letters and numbers. I think. We have a warehouse in Brampton, Ontario, so I just usually take the orders here and let them deal with the shipping there eh. Good luck, maybe google may have some answers.

Use USPS - Global Express Mail (EMS)
EMS stands for Express Mail Service (I think).

... and make sure you have selected Select Shipping: Custom & Real Time Shipping.
