If I have a product that has variants such as colors and each product is in its individual box and must be shipped seperatly from other order can I add a flat shipping fee for this products seperate from the others

as far as i know, there is no connection in 
between ship methods and products. id love to have this becasue i cant ship plants to HI or AZ, but can ship hard goods, however with current software there is no way for me to set this up. i can also ship hard goods internationally and to canada, but cant ship plants this way.

I should add that with variants, you can build extra charges into the surcharge of the variant. For example in a catalog, you might see an item that indicates price as $99.95 (additional $25 shipping). You would then add the extra shipping $25 to the cost of the product and it would still calculate shipping on the item as normal.
