We apparently already have a merchant account, and the lady at the bank said that she has someone she already works with that handles internet. Which I assume means that I will have to call MC to ask them to intrigrate this new company. My question is, what information will I need when I talk to this guy on Monday or Tuesday? I'm very new to this, and I've been caught off guard before and I don't want to lack any info when I talk to him. Could anyone tell me what he'll need? Phone numbers? User names? URLs? If someone could help me out ASAP I would really appreciate it.

Hey Augie-
The lady at the bank is probably talking about a VIRTUAL TERMINAL. This means that your current merchant account probably works with a specific virtual terminal.
MonsterCommerce supports:
Authorize.net
Verisign Pay Flow Pro
Linkpoint API
Linkpoint HTML

If she is not recommending one of these, you are correct that you will need MonsterCommerce to integrate the new gateway for you. I don't recommend this becuase it will be fairly expensive. Due to the security and testing necessary, integrating a new gateway will cost approx $400-$700 (depending on the complexity). You can get this done through our Custom Programming Department.

You will need to be able to tell us the name of the virtual terminal and we will then take about 72 hours to provide you with a complete quote.

Please keep in mind that MonsterCommerce's merchant account does not carry a setup fee so you may find that it is cheaper to go with that account.
