Just curious because I see it posted everywhere but has anyone read or heard anything about the Corey Rudl "The Insider Secrets To Marketing Your Business On The Internet" . I can't tell if it is for real, a course worth taking with some awesome ideas or just another hype. I did a search to see if I can find anything negative about it and I haven't but everyplace I went to was trying to sell it!!

Any one have any thoughts on this or any other Internet learning course?

Interesting he sends you to Alexa.com to see how many sites link to him, but if you read the reviews of his site the majority of them are bad reveiws of his program.

I would think all he has is the same things you can find for free on the web if you just take the time to look for it.

Thanks for the link Bob. I read the reviews and it was exactly what I though the course was about so I will definately stay away. I also read your post about the newsletter and it is Coreys newsletter, isn't it. Has good tips!! Thanks
Captain

He is supposedly the Internet Marketing guru but I have a feeling that he is so because he marketed himself that way. He has several courses to teach internet marketing skills. His site is.... are you ready for this!! www.internetmarketing.com. THey now own the newsletter that Bob sharded with us earlier in this thread.

internet marketing can be like any other marketing... You have to target your market. Just because we do business on th web, it doesnt mean that we can only market on the web...if you sell office products find out who is the "core" customer and go after them. you can get get copies of the "scarborough report" at your local library, for a little more of an investment you can get DMA info(deignated market area) using "qualitap" which is the preferred program amongst most marketing/advertising firms. If you learn that these people are likely to watch CNN then you could buy a 30 second spot, you can purchase these in segments of the U.S. the north eastern U.S. with the highest amount of cable T.V. housholds, can be purchased for about $300-700 per spot, but that hits approximately 15 million people every time it airs. A.M. radio would be another. If you want some good sourcing on this stuff, check out "guerilla marketing" check borders books, dont remember the authors name.

The best 3 things to remember is that:
1. the easiest customers to get is the ones that you already have.
2. Know who your customer is, know what they do, know what they like.
3. Stick to your core; if 65% of your orders come from 25-35 year old women, with office jobs, that live in a middle class lifestyle, and have 2.3 child; then thats who you target.
