It gets an awful lot of hits, yet when I try to go there, there is nothing.

Yes, can someone explain? I e-mailed tech support last week and they said it came from the monstersmile.gif Store. The answer did not make sense.
Thanks!

Oh, ok ... mmp = monstersmile.gif marketplace. I guess maybe the marketplace has a robot or something that visits our stores in order to keep everything in synch.

Yes? No? Don't care? w00t.gif

Correct... it does have to do with the Marketplace. I have forwarded to chris for a better explanation.

Julie,

MMP is a directory that is created once your store has been accepted to the Marketplace. In that directory is a file called storedetails.asp, that file contains basic information about your store categoires and products. When a visitor hits any pages in the Marketplace related to your store, the Marketplace calls information from that file to display in the Marketplace. This keeps bandwidth usage to a minimum across the sites and improves reponse time a great deal, much more efficient than if we were to crawl your entire site each time we need fresh data.

Hope that clears thing up.
