I would like to export a customer list within a date range.

All purchasers from July 15th of 2003 to July 15th 2004

Info I need would be.

Customer Name
Address
City, State ZIP
Phone
email address

We ran a contest and we need the info to pull a winner.

This should be pretty easy using DataPort, if I understand correctly. You would go into the orders tab and pull all completed orders from that data range. Then on the right hand side, click the button for CUSTOM FORMAT. When you click to download the orders it may take quite some time, but once it is done you will see a list of fields on a new menu. These fields are every piece of information saved in an order.

Using the two red buttons at the bottom, move all fields from the left to the right except for the following fields in this order -
FirstName
LastName
Address1
Address2
City
State_Province
Zip
Country
Is_Usa
PhoneNumber
Email
Email
- I note that as I do this that there are two different email fields, and from what I can tell they are redundant since the test I just performed had the same data in each. But results may vary.

When you are done you will have a spreadsheet with about 11 or 12 columns with all of the info you want. Oh and I forgot to mention this already, but if someone ordered more than once they will appear redundantly. Using Excel, it shouldn't be too difficult to sort this by LastName, and then remove any redundant entries if that is the rules of your contest.
