How can I set the security level of my checkout when I am not going to use the credit card automatic system. Instead I set up a custom payment where the buyer can simply put in their card#, and we will then manually input their # after we recieve the order. During the checkout I don't see the security icon in the browser and my http doesn't change to https. Any ideas on how to get the security for a custom payment?

Thanks.

Call tech support to have it activated.

I didn't know that we had to do that until we had several complaints and lost a lot of orders.

When a new user subscribes to monstersmile.gif's shopping cart software, why isn't the shared site security just automatically enabled? It seems dumb to not have it enabled. When a user is ready for their own site security certificate monstersmile.gif can just change it to that instead.

I agree. I thought it was automatic, so I didn't even know it wasn't there for quite a while.

That really irritated me. I was arguing with a customer about it. He kept insisting our site wasn't secure, and I kept insisting that it was. It was very embarassing.
