OK, since category editor is a long ways off, I was wonding if this is possible:

I would like to make custom html for all my categories (ok, thats alot of work I know)

Can I reference a specific product and then call parts of that from that product, like descroption, name, othersprice, etc.


Can that be done?

There is not currently a feature that would allow to pull pieces of a product's information into another page such as a category page. I can picture what you're describing and that would be a powerful feature to have, and might be good for a future release.

Right now though, that is not possible with the cart.

My problem is in your vip storefront templates, you have some very nice looking set ups with the categories. They gave me some great ideas. However, It looks like I would have to manually code everything to get that, and have all custom pages, which sorta gets rid of the whole idea of using an ecommerce system. Why put that up there for VIP members if its not really doable?
