Any feedback on our newsletter? Is it useful? Or do you just delete it without reading? Any feedback you have is beneficial. If we invest the time to create one... we want it to be valuable for our merchants. smile.gif

Is the MC newsletter useful?

In a way - it depends on what the content of the newsletter is.

I don't recall last month's. I'll address the current news letter.

Most of it seems to serve as a promotional medium for monstersmile.gif services and credibility. Is that useful to me - I don't think it matters what I think. If I were wearing "monster shoes" I would do it regardless of what the merchants have to say. It is a way to build your reputation and brand. Sure, I think its great to know that monstersmile.gif does support some "big names" out there (US open) and that the company's staff are being recognized (Ryan & Stephanie),

This information is not useful to me in a utilitarian sense. It certainly is useful to you - monstersmile.gif.

I wasn't done with the last post and accidentally posted it.

The info about the monstersmile.gif forum is useful as a means to pull your memeber into the forum that don't take advantage of it.

The information about PPC promotion - I did take the advice and ensure that my ads direct the "clicker" to the product page being targeted in the ad. That was useful.

Keep producing the letter - I do enjoy it. As a matter of fact, I can recall keeping on eye on the newsletter link in my admin panel.

I agree as well. It is a promotional tool for you and you should use it as such. It is nice to know what new products and features you have. Since this is only your second issue I will surmise that eventually you will run out of ads and start posting some very relevant information that you think we will benefit from. I did read it over, mostly scanning the promo pieces and I read the article. Keep it coming. Sometimes I don't read the stuff on the admin panel so having this come keeps me abreast of the rest of your services.

Captain,

I expect to see more information in your newsletter that will help the store owners setup better and more functional sites.

You may want to think about adding a "Tips and Tricks" section to it. Even if this is a repeat of something we already know, it will be good to review it and refresh our knowledge. These forums will be the excellent source of information for such a section.

Also, articles on SEO will certainly be helpful for all of us.

Thank you for the feedback. I will take your advice and have the editor of the newsletter have the directors of the design, tech support and SEO departments each submit an article or tips and tricks relating to their respective departments.

The "featured merchant" section is used to build credibility yes, but also to feature stores that have implemented extraordinary design, seo or a nice combination of features and functionality. This is our fourth or fifth newsletter and I believe it is the first time we have featured a household name client. I may be wrong, I can check into that.

Regarding anouncements of new services and special offers- I believe we will still continue to communicate special offers- the newsletter is an excellent means for us to communicate with our clients. I do agree that the newsletter should not be bogged down with offers or become to commercialized. I will ensure this does not happen. If this occurs it will go immediatly to our merchant's recycle bin.

Lastly, the reason the section about Stephanie and myself was included in the newsletter was to instill confidence in our merchants. Many of our competitors are going out of business... we fortunetly are growing like crazy. At MonsterCommerce e-commerce is what we eat, sleep and breath... we are passionate about what we do and we want to communicate that we
know what we are doing and are a stable and profitable company and
also communicate that we care about MC and your business more that you probally realize.

Come this September you'll see your comments implemented into the newsletter.

Please keep the feedback coming. We have some cool surprises on the horizon...
