I keep getting calls and emails from people saying that they're not able to add items to their cart. When they click to add, it just never appears in the cart.
It semms to be happening alot recently, and although they have their "cookies enabled", it still isn't helping.
Does anyone know why this and/or what needs to be done to fix it?

When this happened to me, it had to do with some tags not closed proberly. And it was a tiny thing I would have missed if no one had pointed it out to me
Put in a ticket, they should tell you if that is your problem. The did for me.

Hello -

I just tried adding a few products from your site and didn't have any problems. Do you know if the problem is happening on any specific product or products? When the item is not added to their cart, do they receive the pop up message saying that it has been added, or no message at all? If you can create a ticket with some of that information (if possible) it should help us to nail down any potential problem.

Thanks!

Thanks. I dont know if they get the pop up, but my guess is that they dont. I'll put a ticket in. It has not been narrowed down to any certain products that I can tell. I have over 1400, I think...
Thanks.

I've had customers with the same problem.. they told me they did not see a pop up when they added it to the cart.

I just had a customer email me with this same problem. Sounds like it might be some sort of bug??

I'll put a ticket in for mine.

This may not have anything to do with your problem at all, but on our old cart the same thing happened to us a few times.

Each time, we would ask the customer what the item was, and then go back and check that item. Each time it was a problem with the html in the item's description.

Again, it may not be the problem here, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to check each item they have a problem with - just to be sure.

We saw this last year when a customer had Norton Internet Security?

monstersmile.gif Do the pop up blockers interfere with that added to cart popup?

And if so does turning off the added to cart notification window solve it?

I seem to have a big surge in abandoned carts today and yesterday. May be related to the same issue? I don't know...

Has the customer installed XP Service Pack 2? I found that the new Microsoft pop up blocker thought that the top links of the admin window were pop ups. I had to turn it off (or add my domain to the exception list). Also, the SP2 firewall may be causing issues, it has aggravated me to the point where I have turned it off.

I'm still having the same problem. Customers adding items to the cart, but then when they go view the shopping cart, there's nothing there. When I look at the cart in the admin, they've got like 10 or 15 of the same thing - that's the customer trying to add the item over and over.

I dont know what to do. It's not Norton Internet security. Does anybody have suggestions? I NEED HELP.

I had over 8 dumped carts yesterday which is unusual for me. And I get an error when trying to "View Shopping Carts". I opened a ticket and they referred me to a page which explains about some "view cart" bug that's been going around (they said it's affected less than 10 sites).

Click here for the 411 on the "bug"

I asked if that (error/bug) could be the reason for all the dumped carts and they said "No way."

This is on going and still is.

I just had another customer call because she couldn't check out. Said it kept going to the home page when she got all through checkout and tried to enter her billing info.
I thought this issue was resolved, but apparently it's not. down.gif
