I am really, really new. I haven't even optimized my site yet. How do I get the urchin statistics and how much does it cost. Also I thought one time I saw where I could use overture to search keywords but now I don't see it. Was that just a promo of some kind? Thanks, TC

Welcome!
Urchin stats are $10/month (or included with plans above Basic) and can be added to your site
HERE.
The Overture search tool is
HERE.
Good luck!

Speaking of Urchin stats...
Does anybody else have stats history after server changeovers, or does it reset for everyone else as well? We have done quite a few server changes on our dedicated server in the last year and each time we lose our stats history.

The only time we changed servers, our stats history remained, but it was down for a few days. There were two or three days that it didn't keep stats. I had to call them to get it fixed.

I guess I should have pushed tech support on that...I just assumed the history loss was part of the switch and couldn't be moved over from the old server.

DGC, Thanks so much, that was very helpful. I ordered Urchin. I thought it was on my site at one time and so was Overture but they're not there now. It must have been a promotion and I was too busy trying to build my site to pay attention to it.
I noticed on your post and others that your website info is at the bottom of your post. It's not on mine. So how do I get it on there? See, I told you I'm new. I'm even having trouble figuring out how to post here. I have had to learn way too much information since I started this. It should keep my brain young, though. By the way, your site looks great. Again, thanks, TC

SRG, Well I got part of it right, but I don't know how to make it a link. Thanks for your help. TC

TLC,
Use hte http button and enter your url, click ok, then enter the text you wish to link. You can do the same within the posts as with your signature.

When you are in the edit signature screen, you'll notice some boxes above the big box where you enter your signature.
Click on the http:// box. A pop up will open. That's where you enter your full email address. Then it will ask you to name the link. That's where you put your text link. It doesn't have to be your site name, it can be a major keyword.

SRG, Thanks, I so appreciate the encouraging comments. I still have a lot to do and was hoping to get it finished up today and start figuring out the optimization process. May I ask: did you use

to optimize? I know they have several packages. It's still all so confusing to me. I have also been checking out Overture. Now your site is really awesome, and obvious you know what you're doing. Wow! TC
