Hi all,
Recently we have been getting a lot of traffic to our site but not as many sales as we would like. Because of this we have been toying around with adding

's live chat feature onto our site. We had this on our site (before I was hired) and it apparently worked out pretty well. Anybody know where I can find out more about this feature? Price? Details? Does anyone currently use this? Anybody having any problems with it? Anybody found a better 3rd party live chat feature?
Thanks a lot

Unless you are a high high volume processor I would reccommend getting a cheaper solution. The 1

has is powered by live person which I believe runs 99.00 a month for 1 seat and 49.00 for each additional person. However they are always having promotions so it may be slightly different. Otherwise you will see that the live chat will just eat up financial resources and not many will use it.

Hi David -
You can find more information about the LiveSite Manager program
here. It includes pricing and details about the program.
You can also see the homepage for their site
here.
I've used this program quite a bit on our site for Tech Support and really like it. You can see all visitors currently on your site.... initiate a chat with them... accept incoming chats. It also has customizable canned responses (good for greetings and things like that), as well as searchable transcripts. Those are just a few of the many features it offers.
Hope this helps!!

Here is the live chat convo with the lady from live person:
Welcome to LivePerson! An online representative will be with you shortly. You are number 1 in the queue. Your wait time will be approximately 0 minute(s) and 10 seconds. Thank you for waiting.

You are now chatting with 'Cindy'
Cindy: Hello, I'm here to answer your questions about LivePerson services.
krazy: How much is live person? and each additional seat
Cindy: Hi Krazy,
Cindy: I'll be happy to supply you with all the details you require, so I can best understand your needs, I do need to ask a couple of questions first.
Cindy: Is that ok?
Krazy: No, I just would like to know the pricing, for 1 seat and each additional seat.
Cindy: Ok
Cindy: The price for a LivePerson Pro and Knowledgebase account is $99/month per concurrent operator.
Cindy: You can install the service on as many machines as you like, with no extra charge, and assign as many operator logins as you need - under different names. With only 1 license to your account, only 1 operator will be able to login at a time.
Cindy: Each additional seat will cost you $99/month.
Cindy: However,
Cindy: There's a nice deal I can offer you which will
Cindy: include 50% off for each additional seat.
krazy: no thanks, I am just getting information right now

Krazy, it's LiveOffice, not LivePerson. Close, but not exactly the same.

Check out www.liveoffice.com and see what they offer.
I think

tech support uses LivePerson because it offers more tech support help options.
I still agree with Krazy, though. Look around -- LiveSiteManager is a nice product, but you might check out other options, too. Go to their sites, like Krazy did and chat with someone to see how it works. That's a good test -- you get a feel for how things operate.

MonsterCommerce uses LivePerson, they offer LiveOffice/LiveSiteManager to storefronts.

So you aren't seeing things.

I seem to remember MC used to offer Groopz... Anybody tried it?
Anyone know of any other programs that have similar functionality for less $?
Does anyone chat proactively with site visitors? (Welcome to Ourstore.com. Can I help you find something?) If so, are you converting more sales or do find you just annoy the visitor?

I have reviewed groopz and the one thing that I saw is a big lag when typing. I am just sure of all the features, but that is just what I saw.
I recommend www.livechatnow.com, they will even create buttons for your site.

I'm testing clickchatsold now.
10 day free trial.
So far, so good, but I haven't had alot of time to play with it.
Our store is not live yet.
I forget the exact pricing, but I think it's 3 seats for $39 a month, or something like that.
I would love to use Live Person due to their advanced tracking for adwords, etc, but want to make sure my sales will justify it, so waiting for the store to launch and the orders to roll in.

Well I've looked at about 30 different providers since last post... Groopz is the only one that has operator software that's Mac friendly. The down side, it's $85/month/operator, ouch.
Every other provider I've seen requires Windows and uses windows operator software.
Anyone know of any providers that run the operator software inside a web browser?
Brad- Can MC maybe negotiate with Groopz in addition to LiveSite to get a better price for MC clients? I like Livesite, but as I mentioned it requires a winPC...
Thanks!

Yeah the reseller program used to be through groopz, but I think they changed to Live Office.

We used Groopz for a while, then switched to Livesite manager back in Feb of 2004.
http://www.livesitemanager.comI didnt care for Groopz very much...main problem was the script (ran on Groopz server) made our pages load really slow.
Livesitemanager worked much better. We stopped service though, a couple of weeks ago. It just wasn't paying off for the time it took. I tried to have the same person answering an 800 # keep up with the livesitemanager, but found her turning it off all the time because of time management with phone, etc.
The questions on livesite generally did not result in orders, but were just time wasters for the most part...could easily have been handled in email form later in day...much quicker too.
By far, the best order boosting feature we ever added was an 800 #. Our average order online is $50, while our average phone order is more than 2x that. Great way to sell additional product...talking live to person...chat boxes just didnt cut it for us.
Not worth it...IMHO.

Guys you may all want to consider outsourcing live reps and utilizing business rules to really get a higher conversion rate. This stuff gives you the ability to do anything - they also at times do a rev share model.
