Full Version: Question on page width
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?
classy
I designed my site at an 800 pixel width. On my product pages, the top of page header and the monstersmile.gif generated stuff in the middle don't line up. I don't understand why this is. My product graphic should fit within the space provided (non of my product graphics are wider than 432 pixels.

Here's an example of a page where the alignment gets messed up:

Here's the site's main page:

Any insight as to why this is happening??

It looks centered to me. However you need to reconsider and set your page width to 780 pixels wide. You have to take into consideration the borders and sides of the browser. Look at your pages in the 800 x 600 mode and you will see what I mean.

Also your Site Map page is too wide. It is the only thing I found wrong with the site.

Site looks real good too.

Fixed width sites are always a cool alternative to the standard of 100% width sites. Always be mindful to keep your main product page images under 400 pixels wide and your site will always look as nice as the link you provided.

Well, I'm glad the alignment problem doesn't show up for you guys. I'm still seeing it. Must be my browser. Thanks for your help everyone. Good tips!
