Full Version: Use Templates With Static Pages
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?

Hello, I'm relatively new to monstersmile.gif software.

I've tried finding information in these forums & through the manuals on creating additional, static pages that utilize the monstersmile.gif templates.

Is this possible? What I'd like to do is integrate parts of my existing site (information about our company, licenses we hold, case studies, etc...) into the new monstersmile.gif site, and use the same template as my store. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And on this same topic, has anyone tried using Dreamweaver templates (.dwt) with their monstersmile.gif site for static pages. I'm thinking I could copy the style sheets that make up the monstersmile.gif template I'm using, create a Dreamweaver template and assign it to all our current [static] pages. Achieves the same result with a little more work.

Again, thanks for any help you can provide.

Just a quick question. Have you looked at the custom pages editor? This is under the SITE HTML menu and is built to do exactly what you are asking. If you have seen this are are looking for another option, let me know!
Thanks

Hi totlcomp -

I think Steph's suggestion of the Custom Pages Editor is exactly what you're looking for. It basically gives you free reign over the center portion of the page, keeping all of the theme elements along the sides.... including the dynamic shopping cart display. The page you create will have it's own URL that you can easily link to from anywhere.

Hope this helps!!
