Full Version: How can I change the graphics?
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterWebDesign > Designing Your Storefront
Kant

I have searched up and down the site and I cannot see where I can get to edit the images that show up for "Browse Categories", "Shopping Cart" or any of the buy buttons. I thought this cart was fully customizable?

Captain
There are templated themes you can change on the fly or you can design your own and upload them in the cart. Which do you wish to do? I will walk you through it. Who is Mr Anderson?

If you want to change the buttons there is a library of buttons in site layout in the admin panel called button themes to choose from. Or if you want something specific monstersmile.gif Commerce's Design department and churn them out really quickly too smile.gif

Do it the right way, get FTP access and create your own themes, it gets you away from that cookie cutter look that alot of monstersmile.gif sites have. biggrin.gif
Captain
Agreed. Custom buttons make your site much, much more appealing. biggrin.gif

FTP access to upload custom graphics is a must in my opinion. It's only $10 more a month but makes a huge difference. You can also upload custom webpages and other web related materials.

Captain, Mr. Anderson is Neo from The Matrix. I think Agent Smith says that in the very end of the movie when Neo becomes the ONE!

I would love to know how to upload my own buttons for the shopping cart.

Augie,

1. you must have a plan that includes the FTP manager.

2. create your buttons the same size as the buttons monstersmile.gif provides.

3. give your buttons the same name as the default buttons.

Upload your buttons into the root/themes directory

Then, at the admin panel>>sitelayout>>button themes: choose your custom "theme" (it should be there after adding it to the root/themes directory)

These instructions are not as detailed as you will find in the monstersmile.gif manual. They should get you started.

Have fun! biggrin.gif

Augie and MGriffin-

Great explanation! biggrin.gif One thing to note, it's in the root/images/themes folder. And if you keep answering questions that well, tech support may be out of a job! wink.gif

Thank you! I'll begin working on this today. I don't think I have FTP access on my plan, so I'd better look into it. smile.gif
