We do it all the time. I can email you some information on how to set up credit card processing over the phone though Paymentech. If you use my referral, they'll waive the setup fees.

How it works is you simple key in the numbers over the phone and then use a knuckle buster to give the customer a receipt. It take about a week to set up and allows us to accept card anywhere a cell phone works. We love it.

A word of caution; that could break your agreement with your credit card company. In researching methods, I asked if that was alright to do w/ Paymentech and they flatly stated it was not allowed. And from a customer standpoint, I can see why. I wouldn't want someone processing my info (esp. at a latter date) through the Inet without knowing the method and whether it's secure or not. If you go through with that method, I recommend telling your customers that you'll be entering their information through the Inet. And tread carefully.
