Full Version: Shipping to Puerto Rico
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?
Ewestforth
I have a customer who went to buy an item from my website who lives in Puerto Rico. I have my cart set to not accept international orders.

How would set my cart to accept orders from Puerto Rico and other US territories?
Since it is a US territory regular domestic shipping rates apply (priority mail, etc.).
I do not want to accept international orders, but all of the US territories are fine with me. If this cannot be done i would LOVE to see this feature in 4.0.

4.0 supports the same exact features that 3.0 supports, we are looking on admin more features in the near future. Please add this suggestion to www.MyMonsterCommerce.com.

Ewestforth, what is your reasons for not shipping internationally? Have you had credit card chargebacks or other issues that make you hesitant?
Ewestforth
Robert,
We ship directly from our store.
We have a Daily UPS Pickup. For USPS priority/express boxes we just give them to the mailman.
As far as i know anything over 1 pound going international through USPS must be taken to the post office to fill out the appropriate forms. I can't just have it picked up by the mailman like the rest of the boxes. I am not sure about how UPS deals with international shipping, but the whole thing seems to be a hassle. We like the fact that we can have everything sent out directly from our store without having to send an employee down to the post office daily.

Chargebacks are another issue that somewhat keep us US based only.
