can we have a side by side product comparison layout? They are really effective. also, on the a similar topic, can we have a list of products that seem to match or are related to the product being reviewed or added to cart?

What do you mean by side by side comparison layout? You can show related products in the product editor >> related products.

Related products are a great tool.

If you relate products they show up below the long descriptions as thumbnails. Good way to increase your average cart total!

Yes, using related products can be an excellent sales technique. If the related product is something that naturally goes with the current product, you will have a good chance of getting the sale on the related product too!

I just wish that when creating a 'related product' (i.e. 1 to 2) that would automatically link backwards as well (i.e. 2 to 1). or atleast maybe prompt asking if you wanted to. This would save alot of time. You would only need to setup related items on about half your store to have most of your store related.

Thanks Captain. It's nice to know that through the use of this forum we are able to submit ideas & suggestions which receive not only responses but consideration for implementation.

On this subject I would like to know if you could display a side by side comparison of similar products listing features so a customer could compare and select. I.E. a customer would select "1/2"Widgets" then there would be a list of 1/2" Widgets listing various materials and options. A customer could then click on the box next to 3 or 4 of them and the screen would display the selected items side by side comparing features. Similar features would run across the page as shared, specific features would be listed under the column fort the item. This is something that my customer shave requested time and time again.
