I have recently been working on a storefront and I have about ten products in each of my categories but I am having problems sorting them by price. For instance, I have some products that start at lets say $1 and go up to $100. How can I make the cheapest products show up first. Is there a way to set this up? Thanks for any input anyone can give me. I have tried to look through the manual and look online but I have not found anything that covers this topic.

You can set the order in the product editor starting with"0" as your first item. It's the field right after keywords. I think that's the way to handle it

bulbman is correct.......it's the field labeled "SORT". Just start with the number "0" and go up from there.

However, what if newmonster2 wants to add items later that are priced in the mid-range? I guess you'd have to renumber all the sort fields from the new product on. I can see how sorting by price would be very useful. Perhaps this is something the

folk could add to their list of things to consider for a future version?

You don't have to go in sequential order to number sort. Put the price in the sort field and use that as the number sort. (i.e. for $1 items, but 1 in the sort field, for $10 items, put 10 in the sort field) That way, if you add products inside of that range, no big deal. A new $5 item? Add 5 in the sort field. Then it'll fall in between 1 and 10.

Great suggestion for future new features.
