I was wondering what I am doing wrong that our header is not clear. The image I create looks choppy.. Any suggestions..??
Thanks

What program are you using to develop your header?

Also, when you place it in your webpage, are you specifying the height and width correctly?

I was just designing the image in photoshop.. or desiging software. I had been specifying it I thought.. I might have to go back and look at that..

PhotoShop w00t.gif Great!!

Does the image look good in PhotoShop, but then looks choppy on the web? Or does it always look choppy?

It looks fine in photoshop then choppy on the site??!!!?!?!!?!

When you are saving from PhotoShop, are you selecting Save For Web (7.0)?

Also, make sure that when you are starting that your canvas is at 72dpi. That is good enough for the web. I think if you create your image with the canvas set at 300dpi, and then save for the web, PhotoShop may convert the image to 72dpi.

Just spitballing .. stuart.gif

Another thing to consider...

Does your header contain photos or hi-impact graphics? If so, make sure you export the header as a JPEG. Graphics with colors beyond 256 should be saved as a JPEG not a GIF. This can sometimes cause graphics to be blurry, or mis-colored.

Just a thought if it had not been tried already
