Help Anyone,

I have set up a discount code that I am going to use to track links to the site.

How or where would I look in Urchin to check this specific link that I have set up?

Would it be under the referral area?

Any help would be appreciated!

I have never been able to see any of my special ref= tags in Urchin. Your best bet would be to get you log files and run them throught a log file tool like webtrends. I'm testing a demo of it right now. The only downside is that when you download log files, it counts against your monthly bandwith, and if your log files are big, it's gonna cost you!

One of the reason I asked about this was because it states in the manual, but I am not sure if it puts the information in Urchin or does it put the information when the customer completes the sale and has it listed as a discount code.

If that is the case it won't work for me, because once they input the other discount code that I am offering it will go away. No way to track that way!

Hmmmm, food for thought....

Anyone else?

fullmoonsales,
I agree with you using webtrends would be great, but very expensive the last time I remember. I don't really want to spend that kind of money right now! I was hoping the other way would work!

Thanks,

eeek! $499 and thats for the low end product.

I'll stick with urchin.

We just use http://www.eztrackz.com for all of our tracking needs and it is very inexpensive and all you do to track sales is post a little code in your checkout html area.

Just my 3 cents..... smile.gif
