For those of you who operate a gifting business, you know how important having last minute shipping can be near a holiday (like Valentine's for example) People seem to shop later and later each year.

I recently did a promo that worked fairly well so I thought I would share it...

To capture the last-minute gifting shopper, try adjusting your Express Shipping costs over a certain order value threshold (like "Save $10 on Express Shipping for any $75 order") Simply adjust the values in your shipping tables, add a banner or messaging to your pages, and be sure to put some kind of message in the shipping option field that is displayed to the user... (like "may not arrive by Valentine's" in the standard shipping message, and "if your order total is over $75 your $10 savings has already been applied" in the express shipping field)

Test, measure, and adjust... right?
