1) Why aren't my Urchin Stats updating EVERY night?!?
2) I also have a question about Urchin Stats:
When we look at the entrance and exit pages for our sites, do spiders hits
count in those number totals, or are those numbers actual customers' visits?
Please explain for me / us, and advise as to what we should do.
Thanks,

Ben N,
1) Your Urchin stats are updating every day. They just are not updating when you think they are updating. Here's how it works. It starts to calculate the stats for the previous day at 1 am (Central Time). It has to go through all sites that are on that stats server, which are quite a few sites. This process can take a while, but your stats should show up sometime in the afternoon. They are being updated daily, and yesterdays stats are showing up now, but they probably will not show up at 7:13 in the morning.
2) Spiders do count as hits, as they are accessing the page. A "hit" is simply any time a page is loaded, and thus it counts for spiders, etc. It is normal to have lots of entrances and exits on that page, as spiders will look at it on a daily basis, looking for any content that has changed. There is nothing that needs to be done, as this is a normal process.
