Full Version: RMAs and Customer #s

Good morning !

Am looking for some suggestions on how other store owners have developed their Customer numbers (unique) and also an easy way to develop RMA numbers. I haven't had to really get deeply involved in these areas as I have been doing most of my business face to face and have not placed any of my customers into an Access database - they've been mostly repeat customers. Also, the RMAs, well I've been fortunate that nothing has been returned - to date. But.... I want to take this "down time" to figure out an easy method to accomplish both and trying not to coincide with the MC side when orders come in via online.

I do not have QuickBooks and my Access database would not be linked/incorporated with the MC store (is there even a way to do this?) Maybe there is a way to download your customer list/orders into a database/spreadsheet but with no customers I can't tell. HA! Just thought I'd put the questions out there to everyone.

Like to hear how other owners do this.

Thanks for your time!

We are using a program called Atrex for this. A couple of times a week we download through DataPort our customer information, inventory information, etc. and import it directly into Atrex.

The same holds true if you maintain inventory/customer information in Atrex then you can upload that information to MC through Dataport as well.

Also handles recurring billing, the RMA's, etc.

You can find the program (free for 90 days I believe) at www.atrex.com.

The Stone Edge Order Manager will also help with your customer management, including creating and tracking RMAs, as well as many other functions, and the Order Manager includes high-level integration with MonsterCommerce.
