I was told MC can partial ship orders. I now have an order that I shipped that is not complete. 1 items is b/o. So how do I show only that item b/o and the others shipped?

You cannot really do this.
What you thought is that you can put that 1 item shipped by giving a tracking number for just that 1 item, but you cannot do that.

All you can do is put the item in the partially shipped folder.

Thanks, I was putzing around and put the order in partial shipped and made notes in the comments so the customer and I can see. I guess that's the plan. Thanks for the input krazykickz

I usually have at least one item out of every order that doesn't show up.

To me this seems to be pretty high priority.

Not that I know of. But if you do what I did it is manageable.

Could be easier though.

We used to use YAHOO! and we could put in separate tracking numbers for items as they shipped. I think this is a NEEDED FEATURE. Amazon, for example, allows clients to choose whether they want their order shipped altogether for a lower shipping fee, or as items can ship out, for an extra fee. We should be able to both enter separate tracking numbers and offer these 2 options. We need to remain competitive and Commerce should help us to this end. Their service does allow for some great improvements over the Yahoo! system, but little pluses like these make Yahoo's at times to seem more advanced.

COMMERCE, please put this on your features-to-program-right-away list.

I've actually asked for this a few times, but ehh I guess it's 'on the list'. Would be cool if they could even give the option in checkout for customers to split the orders up, and pick multiple shipping.
