A couple of things, should be able to download out of the store the days shipments and upload them into UPS Worldship. Anyone found a different way?
Thanks

Would love to have a way to do this. Would make life much easier. Do you have any way to do this, even better an easy way.

Just wanted to place a general announcement anywhere there was mention of UPS Worldship.
~MonsterDataPort now supports Worldship export~If you don't have it, you can sign up for DataPort by
going hereIn DataPort you can export your orders and one of the formats you can export is the correct setup for import into Worldship. All you will need to do is fill in stuff like your package type (tube, box, envelope) and a few others and you are good to go.
The first month of DataPort is free so give it a try! It costs $19.95 a month additional after that and you can cancel this feature at any time.

Like many businesses today, you use UPS Online® WorldShip® Software. As a result, it now takes multiple processes to create the shipping label and packing list needed for a single shipment. More processes increases your chances for inaccurate shipments, leading to higher costs and unsatisfied customers.
Shipping Manager by TrueShip™ was developed to save you time and money. It effortlessly integrates with WorldShip to create an all-in-one packing list and UPS shipping label from your ink jet or laser printer. Shipping Manager operates invisibly to streamline your daily shipping routine, and performs whether or not you have WorldShip connected to your database.
Combined with a robust set of features that include email dispatch, auto-create, batch mode and more, this is the one utility that no shipping department should be without.
We are offering $100.00 in free UPS shipping with purchase of TrueShip from now unitl August.

Charles did an excellent job intergrating a Worldship export into Dataport and from the last I heard it was working very well.
Just my 3 cents............

For the higher volume shippers we actualy use a fulfillment center. MC sends all orders to Ordermotion via XML. Phone and Mail orders get entered into OM. OM then batches all the orders (web, phone, mail) and sends to our fulfillment center via XML. Don't have to worry about any UPS Worldship systems, the fullfillment center has invested hundreds of thousands into integrating with USPS and UPS.

Charles has done a great job with Dataport and it's integration with Worldship. What you need to do is get UPS on the phone, and have them help you create a map for importing the Dataport CSV. With the correct mapping, you can almost import and never have to type anything.
I talked with UPS yesterday, and had them help me with the EMAIL NOTIFICATION. After figuring it out with UPS, I emailed Charles asking him to incorporate a couple of new fields. If he can do this, then life will be real good.....imagine, the customer gets tracking information direct from UPS and you never had to hit the keyboard!
Time to sit back, relax, and have a cocktail!

I got the email and I am just about to make a forum post to let people know we might be making those changes and also to ask them about what other changes they would want. I'll make a second pinned topic about WorldShip discussing specifically the export format.

This WOULD be a great time saver!
I'll check out Charles' post concerning this great feature.
I'm not sure how our customer would be getting the UPS shipping notice & Tracking info directly from UPS, because much of our merchandise is drop shipped. But I'd like to see our customer get the UPS Tracking info when we change their order to "complete". I think that would be awesome.
Your thoughts?

XML..... Email.....Excel, at a $1 an order- fulfillment is not a bad solution- and there are many, I mean MANY added features - for the features alone - I would easily say less than 20 cents a option- but just my 2 cents, no wait, just my experiance!

If your looking for fulfillment- I can direct you to who you want to talk to. Hands down- Joe@atlastimports.com
