Is there a way to display inventory numbers on the displayed products in a catagory page?

What do you mean by inventory numbers? The number of each product in stock?

If you are talking about from the storefront, the answer is "no" there isn't a specific way to just have the part number start showing up. However, there are some things you can do that would be a work-around to have it happen:

1. You can put the part number in your product title.

2. You can change the number of columns in product lists to 1 and put the number in the short description which would show up with the column change to 1.

3. You can put it in the thumbnail image alt tag and it would show up as a customer hovers over the picture.
