Hi! I got my welcome emai. biggrin.gif

But I have a new question now. This will be on my domain right? Well, our website has alot of information on it besides buying the products. We have alot of other pages. How will I not lose all my information? Am I still able to add html pages? How long will this take? I'm leaving for a couple weeks on June 24th, should I wait to get started with this? Or is it really easy?

Thanks!! (hopefully this is my last post. wink.gif )

Take the html code for these pages (from Frontpage, Dreamweaver or whatever program you use), copy it, and then paste it into a custom html page. You will find the "Custom Pages" option on the Site html menu option. The system will give these pages a name such as page.asp?id=1. This page will appear in the middle column.

We use a lot of rich text pages, in hopes that they will help with the search engines. The info can also be used to help sell product.

Augie,

creating custom pages is simple... follow the instructions above. If you don't have time the MonsterWebDesign department can have your site designed professionally by the time you return. Call Kyle at 877-663-5169 if you are interested.

Also, if you have the 'Plus' package you can directly upload HTML files to your new site. You may need to modify some links and other tags but it's not something that would take long with a simply search/replace.

Yes that is always an option. It will give you two sites in one with your html info pages and your asp cart pages.

This can be done really well however there are a couple things to look out for when you do this.

1. Your navigation might change a little for your visitors. They will go from your layout to the cart layout (try to make them as similar as possible)

2. When people get into the cart pages they will see the cart on the right hand side. If they click back to your html pages the cart will vanish, this can be a little confusing.

If at all possible I'd recommend sticking with copying your html into the custom pages editor in the admin panel. That way all your pages have the same look and feel!

I use either FrontPage or Publisher to accomplish this, including specific forms that I need to capture information.

I find it easier to just drop the code into the form and let the software take care of it.

The only thing you need to watch is the width that you make your pages, otherwise it messes up your navigation borders. I hate this... Argggg!
