Full Version: Firewall Is Blocking Report Generation

I still haven't been able to view my reports. Called Tech Support and they told me that possibly my personal firewall was blocking display of the report. (Popups are enabled; cookies deleted.)

I am extremely hesitant about suspending firewall protection to view monstersmile.gif reports. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do? Thanks.

There are several things that I cannot do without bringing my firewall down. For instance, there was a time that I could not update site wide settings, but that seems to be fixed with 4.0. Today I cannot download images or html pages from my File Manager while the firewall is enabled. I disable the firewall, do what I have to do and enable it again.

hmmm. Hate to turn that wall off, even for a minute. I guess if I closed Outlook and all other programs it should be ok. Are you pretty knowledgeable about firewalls and the risks of turning them off? Maybe it's ok to do.

The reports were viewable about 10 days ago, even with my firewall activated. odd.

I didn't know that that what was blocking image download from File Manager. Thanks for sharing that.

I'm no expert about firewalls. I, too, was hesitant to disable it when I found out it was blocking some functionality. However, I bit the bullet and haven't had a problem. I don't keep it down long because I don't want to chance anything, but frankly, even when it's up, I never get any "attacks" registering. Maybe someone else has any thoughts? Like someone who knows more than me.... wacko.gif

Yes, I ran into the same problem. Try this. Turn the popup blocker off on your firewall, but leave your firewall up.

To access reports.....Click the shift key. Hold it down and click GET REPORT. This works for me on reports and file manager. Also to clear search queries, I have to hold the shift key down while I click the clear button and then continue to hold it down when I click the YES button on the message popup asking 'do I want to delete search querys'.
