Very Tough to say, Mine is in my top of page html. But it can also be put into the left or right column editor, one is in the Site html, the other is in the Site Layout.

I'm not sure you can disable it completely (without some customized help from monstersmile.gif), but for the time being you can stop the cart from showing up:

Site Information>>Site Wide Settings>>Site Layout>>Cart Display Type>>No Front Page Cart

I think there's a way to change the Buy button too, but I can't find that right now.

Oh, I found what I had been thinking of (although I've never used this, so I don't know what it looks like). On the product editor for each individual product, there is a Call checkbox. If checked, according to the manual:

Check this box if the customer should call for shipping information for that product. If “Call” is checked, the price will not appear and customer’s will be required to call in order to purchase the product.

Not sure if this would help because it sounds like the price won't even be displayed.

What I do for wholesale is enter no List Price and no Customer Price. Then I check Call and enter ' ' in the Call Message field.

I enter Wholesale price under Advanced options. That way, only wholesale customers who have logged in get a price, but they still get the Buy button. Those who have not logged in get no price, no call message, no Buy button.

You can do as Purple said with the Call message. Enter one there like 'Call To Order.' That's your best bet!

Ummm, I think you all missed the OS-Commerce note.

Did you try posting this question on the http://forums.oscommerce.com/ site? They seem to be pretty good about getting back to people, since it's all open source. smile.gif
