My customers need an invoice for warranty purposes. How do I print invoices, or packing slips that are basically receipts (without CC info)?
I would like to be able to print an invoice without credit card info on it, but with my Logo and contact info on it (For the customer).
Also, I would like to be able to print just a quick simple invoice with credit card info, with shipping and billing info, and product info, without my logo or contact info (For me, so I can run the credit card info, and pull the product from my wharehouse)

There is a way to do this, but now a way to do it in batches.
There are these things called Orders>>>>Order Invoice Settings and you can turn on and turn off things in the invoice to be printed on the invoice.
The invoice can be printed for each order as you can see a button that says Print invoice and it should pop up with your logo.

Well our store is offically live! So we'll probably start doing this. Where is this 'print invoices' button you speak of Krazy? Thanks!

I printout the

invoice with all the information including the credit card number. That copy is for me to process the order. When the order is complete I type in their order information into an Excel spreadsheet that creates my customer packing slips.
The way I do it is a pain in the butt. I wish

had a function where there were separate settings for the invoice/packing slip so we could print them independently--one for us, one for the customer and have different information for each.

Since we haven't had a real order yet...i am just curious. Is the print invoices button in the 'orders' area i am assuming? Sorry to be so inquisitve. I am curious what it'll look like because we have to send them to our wholesalers for orders...

Why don't you use dataport to download the order information into excel. Then you can delete whatever rows you don't want or format it the way you like. It would save you on all that typing.

Yes. Orders>>Orders Invoice Print Settings
You can also type or add images, whatever, to the top and bottom of your invoices. Orders>>Order HTML/Email System>>Order Invoice HTML Editor

This might sound weird....but is there a way to print out test invoices just to see what format they will be in?

The print invoice button is in the actual order itself at the top. WHen you receive an order, you will see what I mean. It is a button and it says "Print Invoice #818".

Hey, just place an order yourself. Then you can see what the printed invoice is going to look like, and how the different options work.

Make sure you are putting your gateway on test or open up a custom payment for credit card to test or the credit card company may lock your card.

Well...hmm...sorry for my confusion. How do I 'open up a custom payment for a credit card?' We have tested our store with our cards before but it's sort of a hassle. Any info on test orders would help us tremendously. Thanks!

8. Now the fields will pop up below and allow you to enter text.
9. For Input name put Full Name on Card
10. For lenth keep it at 50. Sort order put 0 and for type put text. Click the required field, but DO NOT click the encrypt field. The click insert.
11. Now another blank field will pop up below. For input name put Card type. For length keep at 50. for sort order put 1. for type put Card Type for the drop down. Click insert.
12. Now another blank field will appear below. In the input field put Card Number. For length put 16. For sort order put 2. For type choose Card number from the drop down field. Click insert.
13. Then follow the same steps above for expiration date. but put length at 4 and choose MM/YY for the drop down and click insert. Make sure you are putting these as required.
14. For CVC, Make the length 4. In the Input Name put CVC ( You can add an explanation to this if you like). Put the type as text and mark required and click insert.

That is what i was wondering. Is a feature on the way that allows printing both the invoice and the packing slip separately?

At the risk of sounding like a traitor.. Yahoo actually has a pretty good setup for this. You simply select (1) packing slip (2) invoice (3) complete order. I use the packing slip view. I don't have to retype anything, download files, etc. I copy the entire packing slip into Word and add my Logo and it's done.
Takes about 30 seconds.
You can see an example here:
Packing Slip ExampleMaybe something like this would work.

Order processing / printing is one area where Yahoo! Store kicks

booty like it's nobody's business. We're still waiting for Charles to come through with his latest Dataport release with the built in CSV/Word mailmerge feature.

The one I'm talking about doesn't require data downloads, data porting, etc. It is free. It's a view of your order online. All three options are "view" mode: 1) complete order 2) invoice 3)packing slip.
Just cut and paste in email (html) or Word.

You know I am not sure how well mosterbooks will link into quickbooks online, but I have been using that for the last year, and if it does link in, you could do your invoicing through quickbooks, it does a very nice job of making invoices in pdf formats and emails them to your clients, or you can print them and snail mail them.

Sorry. I may have misled you. I have a store on Yahoo and so was sharing what they do. In the hopes that maybe

could do something like that - they're smart people. On the surface, it looks pretty easy to implement, but then, I'm not a developer. It wouldn't replace Dataport, just give a temporary solution.
The packing slip view feature on Yahoo saves me tons of time. Highlight the text and drop it into MS Word - but it's Yahoo, not

.

Why wouldn't you just print the packing slip from the PDF?

Oh, I see. You mean on Yahoo. I don't use the print option because I want to put it in a Word template. The template has my store logo, return information, address, etc.
BTW, I think I found something that will work on

orders. It's the same sort of principle. Copy the email contents that you receive on order confirmation. Then, paste into Word. I can even use the same template! I love shortcuts.
