I had some custom design work done for my site and later I did some changes to my categories and they didn't show up? How do I fix it?

Was your custom design work for the left column navigation for your categories, etc?

If the navigation was a graphic you are going to have to make another graphic for that new category. To get the link for the new category you made, go to your site html area in your admin panel to the navigation bar editor and check the dropdown bar underneath the html to load default and custom (load custom first). Then go to your store mode, click on the link for your new category and copy the link to your new graphic you made for your category in your custom navigation back into the navigation bar editor.

You should check your admin panel to see if you are using a custom or the default left side navigation.

You can find this in the admin panel under Site HTML >> Navigation Bar Editor.

If you are using custom you'll have to edit the HTML to change categories.

Is is just me, I cannot locate the link that you are talking about. I have looked under the Site HTML >> Navigation Bar Editor, is this an option that needs to be turned on?

In the Navigation bar editor page you will see a white box for the custom html. Underneath the html box you will see a drop down bar with options like Use Default only, Use Custom only, Use Default and Custom (load default first), Use Default and Custom (load custom first). Select the one you want then hit submit. If you are using custom html make sure you indicate so.
