Is it possible to add tabs and thumbnail images to the product page?
Here's an example of what I'm looking for: http://www.argear.com/montbell-ul-thermawrap-jacket.html

They have a Tab in the description field that will show a size chart. I also like the little thumbnail images underneath the main image.

My guess is that it can't be done with 4.x, what about 7.x?

You could probably do this with some extensive coding using the product display editor. In v4 you may be able to accomplish this with the Advanced Product Details however it would take some knowledge of programming to complete.
