The keywords field on product subcategories are for HTML Meta tags to internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo. When an internet search engine spiders a website, it concentrates on a page's Meta tags. Essentially, I want the search box on my web page to do this as well.

The Search feature within your store allows customers to search for Products by the criteria you set under the Site Information -> Site Wide Settings -> Site Rules tab -> 'Product Search Looks In'. This will control which field(s) the system looks in when a visitor conducts a keyword search on your site. There are four possible options:
· Product Description – Looks in Product Name, Short Description, and Long Description
· Product Keywords – Looks in Keywords
· Product Part Number – Looks at the Product Part Number
· All – Looks in Product Name, Short Description, Long Description and Keywords

Since your product keyword and description fields also populate the META keyword and description fields for your product pages, these are essentially the fields that are being searched.
