Hi,

Does anyone use echo merchant service?
turtlepress
I did until recently. Anything in particular you want to know about them?
krazykickz
How is their customer service?

How did they lay the fees out? Were there a lot of hidden fees?

any experiences, please share. smile.gif

Their customer service is excellent. I was always able to get someone on the phone and a couple of times they spent extended amounts of time walking me through procedures.

You get 2 free chargebacks a month, which is nice. We rarely went over that so we never really paid for chargebacks. There's a $10 monthly account fee and then the regular percentage fees plus a per transaction fee. I think the pass through and per transaction fees depend on your account, so you'd probably have to contact them and ask for specifics.

Oh, and you get unlimimted free echecks. Or at least I did. Major bonus.

If they supported a gateway that worked with monstersmile.gif, I wouldn't have switched but they have a proprietary system that doesn't interface with anything. Not even ICVerify. When we were small and used a terminal it was no big deal but now we're doing hundreds of charges and week and need something totally automated.

krazykickz
They are supported with monstersmile.gif now. According to monstersmile.gif.

Thanks so much for the information. They sound like they have a great program there. I am trying to get all merchant rates gathered up.

Krazykickz,

It was my understanding when we checked in to them, that you had to manually process the orders one by one. Are you saying that this has changed? They seem to have the best rates of anyone, so if they are now automated they would be worth considering.
krazykickz
Yeah they are compatible with monstersmile.gif. I will do final testing today, and will post up today. I believe monstersmile.gif added them for 4.0. I am trying to keep the merchant rates page filled with the rates, so I will let you know when I finish the test integration.

krazykickz
Yeah sorry Turtlepress they added them.

I will be doing the gateway testing today, just to make sure that they integrate as well as they are suppose to . I will post experiences, when testing is over. Such as was it easy to set up. Fraud settings, etc.

Hey Guys,

Sorry to say my echo response is delayed until tommorow. I have to wait until my test gateway is activated, which should be tommorow. I will post about integration then.

What's the link to Echo? And any particular agent you recommend I speak to about rates over there?

Hey DJ,

Even though their site is not incredibly the best design, I have been speaking with Margaret. Also look for my post called "Merchant Fees" I have posted the fees there. Good thing about them is they have no obligation! and some great rates and services. Such as no use, no pay and 19.95 a month for any services. you do not pay 19.95 for each. I am reading everything over now.

Site is : www.echo-inc.com

Groovy! Kickz, I'll wait for your word on how your evaluation is going with Echo. Before, we were just thinking of going with either monstersmile.gif, Globalpay, or Wells Fargo directly. Now you have me intrigued about Echo - honestly, I've never even heard of them until now.

Hi,

Received the Test account with Echo and everything went great with integration and AVS. Only thing I see is that their gateway is not the best designed but does the same things as others. It was very easy to integrate and test.

I will post more information as it comes up.
