Does anyone know how I can change the buy button? is there any way of changing just that graphic?
robert
The Buy button is part of your theme. You can create a new graphic and upload it if you have ftp installed. It is easy. I do believe that it has to be the same size as the default button, however.

Hi Rebecca,
You should definitely have the FTP access. The $10 cost differential is easily justifiable.

I totally agree, FTP access is very handy

I think that FTP access is given with all of the plans now? Maybe one of the admins can answer this?

Anyways ... I just adjusted my BUY button last night ... used Photoshop. It only took about 1 minute.

One thing to keep in mind ... YOU HAVE TO SAVE THE NEW FILE WITH THE EXACT SAME FILE NAME AS THE ORIGINAL OR IT WON'T WORK.

I wasted an hour with this ... mad.gif

But a call to MC Support quickly solved this for me!!

Hello All!

Within version 4.0, all customers regardless of their plan have access to the File Manager, which is our integrated file management tool. The File Manager allows you to manage your image and html files for your site.

If you are a version 3.1 store, to upload custom button images you will need to sign up for the Integrated FTP Manager. You can sign up on our Support site through the following form: http://www.monstercommerce.com/shopping-ca...are-add-ftp.asp.

For both versions the process to create new button themes is pretty much the same. The steps include:

1. Create your buttons the same size as the default buttons provided in the software.

2. Name your buttons the same filename as the default buttons.

3. Upload your buttons into a new folder within the proper directory
** For v3.1 the directory is root/images/themes
** For v4.0 the directory is root/themes/button_themes

4. Change your Button Theme for your store by selecting your new folder name from the dropdown list of available button themes.

There are more detailed instructions on how to create new button themes within the manuals. Within the v4.0 manual you can find this information under the section Site Layout - Create Own Button Theme.

Hope this helps clear things up!

I've followed the Create Your Own Button Theme instructions in the help guide, but my theme name isn't appearing under the Button Theme Editor option.

Is there a time delay between when you upload your files into your new folder and that folder's appearance in the Admin panel?

Thanks,

Jennifer
