I'm getting this error when I post a message:

Mail Error!

SMTP protocol failure!
Host: mail.monstercommerce.com
Return Code: 500
Return Msg: 500 failed authentication
Invision Power Board Error: Password not accepted from the server
Check your SMTP settings from the admin control panel

After I close this screen, I get the "flood control" message. After clearing that, my post is successful.

hmmm. Are you still getting it when you post? I will ask Rick about this. I have heard of that error occurring if you make multiple posts quickly to keep from auto generated posts and programs designed to spam forums from attacking the server.

Rick is traveling today so we may not get a response from him for a few days.

I'm not getting it now. Maybe I was too quick on the post!

I got the error a couple of times last night and it wasn't that I was posting/responding very quickly. However, when I refreshed, my post was there. Not sure what the error means, but it is still posting responses.

I fixed this last week before I left on vacation.
