I have tried to start 3 topics now in the HOW DO I? section ... everything works fine, but when I go to the forum, nothing is there.
I've also noticed that there hasn't been a topic posted in the forum since Nov 14.
Anyone else notice this?
Full Version: Is The How Do I Forum Accepting New Posts?
I tested this and it appears to work fine...
If you want to start a new topic... there is a "New Topic" icon you need to click to start a new topic. If you wish to reply to one of the topics... click into the topic and click reply.
The reason you are seeing topics started many days ago is because they are listed in the order in which the last person responded. So the top listed post had the most recent response.
Does this make sense?

That doesnt make any sense to me ... like I said I have started 3 different topics in the HOW DO I forum and none of them show up. Also, that first topic hasn't changed since the day I logged on. I'm guessing that more than just myself posts in the HOW DO I section.
And one more thing ... when I first go into the MC Shopping Cart Forum ... it lists the main rooms IE GETTING STARTED - THE BASICS, HOW DO I? etc. and beside them it tells you when the last post was, the topic and who started it. Well I can see that the last post was by TALTOS1 @ 3:38PM 11/25/2003 and the topic is "How Do I Tighten Up White ... "
BUTTTT ... when I go into the forum the last post I see is the one above (from OCT 23)
Can someone try to make sense of this?

I just noticed something ... it is listing all of the topics in alphabetical order!!!
That is why the first post is from the 23rd of October.
Is there a setting somewhere in my profile where I can change how they are listed?
Now here's the wierd part. None of the other forum rooms are setup like that ... they all list the topics in order of the last post.

Nevermind ... I figured it out.
Somehow the options at the bottom of the page were set incorrectly.

Well almost ... after changing the forum option to SORT BY LATEST POST, DESCENDING it automatically defaults back to the ALPHABETICAL listing the next time I enter the room.
It's not really a big deal ... but more of an inconvenience.

Although you do have quite a few option in your 'my controls' section, this is part of the forum and there isn't an option to change this. Hopefully Invisionboard will address this in their next version of the software.
