Full Version: Where Oh Where Do The Images Go
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?

In version 3.1 I created a folder where I put all the graphics I use for the catagory headers. This allows me to track in Urchin the most visited catagories. After migration all those pictures disappeared. Although they are still in the folder I created they have disappeared from my catagory pages.

In redoing the catagory headers I am using the WYSIWYG to insert the graphic but I can not browse to any folder. I am only given one choice and that is the root of productimages (I think)

With alot of work and frustration I am able to copy the URL of the graphic I want in the Header folder. It works fine in unsecure mode however as soon as a customer logs in and they are secure none of these graphics work even though I make them relative and remove the preceding /.

Can someone from monstersmile.gif please explain to me the logic behind the images folders and how you are expecting us to use them. Also, why can we not browse folders in WYSIWYG.

Thanks

Hi Danilyn-

Sorry for the confusion. There's really two things you can do.

The image issue with the WYSIWYG we are aware of and are working on a fix. The WYSIWYG is not our software, so it's a bit harder to customize then our own code. But don't worry, we're on it.

Your category thumbnail img src tags should be relative rather then absolute. Instead http://www.etoolcart.com/ProductImages/images.gif just use ProductImages/images.gif.

Also, Urchin now track page query terms in the files menu. So, you can see under index.asp, the Category=NUMBER page query will tell you which category was viewed.

So you now have two ways to track which categories your customers go to. Hope this helps! biggrin.gif

Thanks for your quick reply. I will try again. I think it was the WYSIWYG that confused me, like I was doing something wrong by using a folder of my own choosing!! I see that it works. Thanks again
